Holistic remedy for mites in dog ears...?
Just got home ..had taken our dog off all the antibiotics and started feeding her Fish and Chicken and Lamb as well as the veggies and fruits on the Homemade dogfood list....Her pemphigus is all but Gone...The lady next door must of put stuff in her bird feeder and a bunch of Birds got in my backyard enroute to hers...Thus all those horrible mites..I'm gonna Neem shampoo all the dogs and wash all the dog beds and throw the diatmaceous earth all over the yard on those birds flight patterns and where my dogs love to run.. but My German shepherds right ear is gunked up with black gunk and those pemphigus sores..any suggestions would be appreciated...
the idea is to smother the mites. my dog had black stuff in her ear so i got drops at the pet store to get rid of them,the stuff did not work and she took an allergic reaction to it so i called the vet and the black goo was not mites but a yeast infection in her ear. he treated her with antibiotics and i had to clean her ear with a soulition twice a day for about a week she is fine now. be carefull the gunk is not infection or you might do more harm than good. i also put her in the shower and ran warm water up her ear to clean it it also removed a lot of the black yeast good luck.
