How Can I prevent my kitten getting out of his room?

We have a thirteen week old kitten and he's a little on the wee side. Tostop him getting into rooms he shouldn't we thought we'd invest in a pet gate, but they're all designed for puppies. Any one got any ideas how we can keep him out of rooms in the house??

No chicken wire ideas though please...

Cats love to roam and explore, which makes it even harded to keep them in one room. I'd suggest closing the door or using a cardboard box. Since he is still 13 weeks, he shouldn't be able to jump over it yet, also if you give him a little toy to play with he might like the room better.

My little kitten was sorta like yours, she was underweight when she was 13 weeks too and she loved exploring so we just let her roam the first floor. As she got tired of the first floor she grew more interest of the second floor and tried to jump over the boxes we used to permit her from going up the stairs. It is fun watching her grow as she is now 4 months and at a healthy weight.
