how to introduce new chicks to existing flock?
we have a new flock of 4-5 week old chicks which we have been keeping in a minicoop in the big coop for about 2- weeks. itr hasnt done any good so far. we have tried putting motor oil on their backs, and blue coat, but the old flock is hellbent on killing the new chickens. we have 19 in our old flock, and 6 in our new flock. we have one rooster in our old flock. the breeds of the old flock are the following:Leghorns, and Red Star Sex-Links. the new flock are Anconas, and Americaunas i belive. PLZ HELP
try putting them in at night get up early and feed to see if they are getting along and provide places where they may duck behind during the day if attacked like piece of ply board leaned against the wall you may have to put them in the mini coop in the day til they are accepted
