How to make a good chicken coop?
We are raising chickens and are very inexperienced. My brother is making a coop out of wooden pallets, but I'm not sure it'll work. What are some building materials to make a coop, and how large does it need to be?
Also, is there anything that needs to be put in there, like a heater or nesting boxes (well, duh) or does it need to have two floors or what. Thanks!

need some studs to support it - chink the seams
only one floor - chickens don't fly well and you don't even want one above your head anyways
three tiers of nests boxes in one foot increments
they need light = so a window on each side = one in the door
chickens don't need much for shelter
size depends upon the number of birds = about a foot square for each = remember they are tiered
they don't need a heater but they do need a gravel box
